A leader in the heat treating and metal finishing industry, seeks a
Metallurgical Engineer for their St. Louis Corporate location. This
challenging hands-on position requires a disciplined, self-starting
individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.


Emphasis is on customer support, process development, assisting with problem
solving, and failure analysis. The successful candidate will focus on
achieving a fundamental understanding of heat treatment and metal finishing.
This knowledge will be utilized to provide information, tools, and resources
to improve business effectiveness; and reduce variation and increase
understanding of heat treatment and metal finishing to directly impact
quality, service, productivity and profitability. Position reports to
Manager, Production Engineering.


Position Requirements:

. B.S. degree in metallurgy, metallurgical engineering, material
science or equivalent field.
. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience and strong knowledge of
ferrous metallurgy; including physical properties and theory, and it's
treatment.
. Knowledge of inspection techniques and use of statistical &
problem solving tools.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
. Travel required.


This position is Salaried Exempt and is Full-time.
Salary, commensurate with experience.
A physical exam, including substance abuse testing is required.
